Prestwick

About this course

The venue for the first-ever Open Championship back in 1860. Prestwick Golf Club holds a special place in the golfing history books, having been the venue for the first-ever Open Championship back in 1860. It last staged an Open in 1925 but the Americans in particular love Prestwick and its often unique test of golf. The famous 18 hole links has been the scene of great golfing deeds and achievements and much of the original 12 hole course is still identifiable today almost 150 years since the inaugral Open Championship was played. Prestwick Golf Club provides an accommodating bridge between the past and the present and is a must play for those who embrace the game and its history.
