Lynedoch

About this course

The Lynedoch course was opened in 2000, shorter than the main Murrayshall course but no less a challenge, tighter fairways, bracken filled gullies and tall Scots Pine trees narrow the golfer’s view of fairways and greens. At 5361 yards and par 69 the course would appear to that of an easy round, but this course will challenge the best of golfers, as noted in the SGU Scottish Youths Championship when the best scores to par were recorded on Murrayshall and not Lynedoch. Its charm, views and peacefulness are the most notable of characters from golfers comments, a favourite of couples and higher handicappers where length is not so important but accuracy wins.
