Founded in 1858 nearby at Perth's South Inch, then relocated to Moncrieffe Island, elsewhere in Perth, in 1897, and a purpose-built golf course designed by 'Old' Tom Morris, the legendary winner of multiple British Open Golf Championships. Nowadays the golf course is a popular destination for local and visiting players, and welcomes all comers to its unique and spectacular Perthshire setting.
