Annanhill

About this course

Annanhill Golf course is a public course situated on the outskirts of Kilmarnock on the Irvine side of the town, not very far from the local General Hospital. The course is a par 71 parklands situated in the grounds of Annanhill Estate, next to the Grange Private Housing Estate. The 18 holes is a pleasant test of golf with its tree-lined fairways providing a challenging test, whilst its wide fairways offer some room for error. The 1st Hole(McKinnon’s) offers a dog leg fairway early on in the round and requires some challenging iron play to start the round. The 9th Hole(The Burn) has a lovely setting with a burn running across the fairway in front of the green requiring the chip shot to be accurate unless you are in the water. The 13th Hole(The Plateau) is a Par 3 short hole with a difference surrounded by bunkers and leaves no room for error. The 14th Hole( Annanhill) is an beautiful Par 4 with such a view of the Old Clubhouse in the grounds of the estate. Require a good drive and a long iron to get par
